Our Story
Kiltearn Partners LLP was incorporated in 2011 by Murdo Murchison and his five founding partners, with the support of Silchester International Investors.
Kiltearn offers a single global equity strategy managed with a disciplined, long-term value investment philosophy. The firm's investment approach draws on the experience of Murdo Murchison, who spent 15 years at Templeton Global Advisers and was the third investment manager of the flagship Templeton Growth Fund, originally launched by Sir John Templeton in 1954.
Kiltearn's investment process is collaborative and team-based, building upon and refining the principles developed during Murdo's tenure at Templeton. The strategy is supported by eight dedicated investment professionals and is designed to deliver strong alignment of interests between the firm's partners and its institutional clients.

We believe that the provision of thoughtful global investment skills will continue to be an important service to the investment community. Our primary goal is to deliver first-class solutions to these investment requirements through the compounding of Intrinsic Value which should lead to strong returns in our investment program. Additionally, we are focused on meeting the needs of our clients while maintaining a long-term perspective in our investment work, and in the planning and development of our offering for the years ahead.
A critical component of meeting our clients’ goals (and our goals) is maintaining our focus. Therefore, Kiltearn only manages one program – Global Value. This allows the investment team to be incredibly focused and not overburdened by managing multiple strategies and accounts.
By managing one program, our message is quite simple: We want to concentrate on doing one thing exceptionally well.
